🌙 Muharram 9 & 10 – Taasu’a & Aashura 🌿

We are in the blessed days of Muharram, one of the sacred months in Islam.

The 9th (Taasu’a) and 10th (Aashura) of Muharram hold special significance.

It’s a time to remember history, increase our good deeds, and seek forgiveness.

✨ Why is Aashura special?

 • The Prophet Musa (Moses) A.S and Bani Israel were saved from Pharaoh on this day.

 • The Prophet Muhammad Musthafa ﷺ encouraged fasting on Aashura and said it expiates sins of the past year.

 • Fasting on 9th & 10th (or 10th & 11th) is recommended to distinguish from the practice of Jews who fasted only on the 10th.

🕌 Aashura also reminds us of the great sacrifice of Imam Hussain (رضي الله عنه) and the tragedy of Karbala.

It is a moment to reflect on standing for truth, justice, and patience in adversity.

🤲 Let us try to:

✅ Fast on these days (9th & 10th or 10th & 11th).

✅ Give charity & help those in need.

✅ Make sincere du’a and seek Allah’s forgiveness.

May Allah accept our good deeds, forgive our shortcomings, and grant us steadfastness. Ameen.
