കാഞ്ഞങ്ങാട്: എട്ടു പതിറ്റാണ്ടുകാലം കേരള-കര്‍ണാടക സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുടെ ആത്മീയ രംഗത്ത് നിറഞ്ഞുനിന്ന ഉന്നത പണ്ഡിതനും ആയിരക്കണക്കിനു പണ്ഡിതരുടെ ഗുരുവര്യരും പ്രമുഖ സൂഫീവര്യനുമായ സി.പി. മുഹമ്മദ്കുഞ്ഞി മുസ്ലിയാര്‍ (മഞ്ഞനാടി ഉസ്താദ്) നിര്യാതനായി. ശനിയാഴ്ച രാവിലെ എട്ടു മണിയോടെ കാഞ്ഞങ്ങാട് പഴയ കടപ്പുറത്തെ സ്വവസതിയിലായിരുന്നു അന്ത്യം. 99 വയസായിരുന്നു. ജീവിതം മുഴുവന്‍ മത വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ പ്രചരണത്തിനും സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ ആത്മീയാഭിവൃദ്ധിക്കും മാറ്റിവെച്ച സി.പി. മുഹമ്മദ്കുഞ്ഞി മുസ്ലിയാര്‍ കര്‍ണാടക മഞ്ഞനാടിയില്‍ കാല്‍നൂറ്റാണ്ട് നീണ്ട മുദരീസ് സേവനമാണ് മഞ്ഞനാടി ഉസ്താദ് എന്ന പേരില്‍ ഖ്യാതി നേടിത്തന്നത്. പ്രായാധിക്യം കാരണം സേവന രംഗത്തുനിന്ന് മാറി വിശ്രമജീവിതം നയിക്കുമ്പോഴും താന്‍ പടുത്തുയര്‍ത്തിയ മഞ്ഞനാടി അല്‍ മദീനയില്‍ തസവ്വുഫ് ഗ്രന്ഥമായ ഇഹ് യാഉലുമുദ്ദീന്‍ ക്ലാസെടുക്കുന്നതിന് സമയം കണ്ടെത്തിയിരുന്നു. പുഞ്ചാവി മാമുവിന്റെയും ആഇശയുടെയും മകനായി പഴയ കടപ്പുറം പുഞ്ചാവിയില്‍ ജനിച്ച സി.പി. വളരെ ചെറുപ്രായത്തില്‍ തന്നെ മതപഠനരംഗത്തേക്ക് തിരിഞ്ഞു. പുഞ്ചാവി, മഞ്ചേശ്വരം, നീലേശ്വരം, തുരുത്തി, മാട്ടൂല്‍, പരപ്പനങ്ങാടി തുടങ്...

Sharjah: A 13-year-old Sudanese girl has successfully undergone surgery to correct a rare congenital disorder that has been recorded in only 180 people worldwide. "For the first time [in the UAE], we have operated on a complex congenital anomaly in a girl who suffered from a rare condition.
